Performance considerations for the scrolling newswire
The N2_UBMS instrument code that brings in the news headlines is
updated quite frequently and it can quickly fill the rows in
a worksheet with data. The Data Series itself is quite demanding
on system performance. When we ran the Data Series to collect
news headlines, we filled over 12,000 rows in a 24 hour period.
An Excel 97 worksheet contains 65,536 rows.
Also, you can create only one Data Series per worksheet and you cannot
have any real-time links on the same worksheet for the Data
Series to work correctly.
