We also provide training, support and development to smaller organizations who require expertise in Microsoft Excel, Visual Basic and the suite of Microsoft Office products. Designed and developed the Reuters Tools and Excel Access Utilities to import and manipulate real-time financial data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. Developed numerous custom applications using Microsoft Office and Visual Basic. Provided training for Reuters sales and support personnel and second level support to Customer Service departments world-wide.

Designed and developed a set of Excel based tools, the R3FI Tools, to access and analyze fixed income data from within Microsoft Excel. Created the Developer’s Toolkit to provide functions and subroutines for other VB/VBA developers. Developed custom mini applications to perform yield spread analysis and Brady Bond calculations.

Developed a Financial Comparison application to analyze and compare fundamental financial data for public companies within specific market sectors. Also provided training and assistance in the development of foreign exchange trading applications.

Assisted in the implementation of a new risk management application to help manage the risk associated with the bank’s numerous hedge funds. Also responsible for retrieving and managing the data retrieval component of the system - not a small task as over one million data points were required each day.

Analyzed and revised numerous spreadsheet applications on the Fixed Income Trading Floor to take advantage of Reuters real-time data functions. Converted UNIX based spreadsheets to Microsoft Excel.

Designed and developed health insurance renewal system using Microsoft Excel front-end with Visual Basic and SQL Server. Application makes extensive use of wizards to help guide user through the renewal process. System retrieves and analyzes renewals for large group cases.

Assisted in the development of Executive Information System using Microsoft Excel. Application retrieves financial data from around the world to create monthly chartbook of graphs illustrating company financial performance.

Converted entire Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange trading floors from Lotus 1-2-3 for UNIX to Applix Spreadsheets. Created macros to improve speed of data retrieval and allow contributions locally.

Developed health insurance renewal system using Office 97 to prepare monthly renewals and illustrative quotes for large group health insurance. Application links Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to Access database using Data Access objects (DAO.)

Developed sales tracking system using Visual Basic and Access database. System is used by national sales force to prepare annual sales campaign for Shaving products division.
